[The only response Kido gets is a teasing playful giggle. Hajime knows Kido means well by her words. It's cute. Despite Hajime's original plans of distracting Kido from her thoughts and trying to cheer her up, she's really starting to doze on Kido.]

[Kido blinks when she realizes Hajime's really falling asleep. But she doesn't mind it at all.]

... Do you want to lay down?

Mmn? It's okay.

[She moves her NOTE and phone to her right hand as she uses her left to rub at her eyes a bit. It's not until Kido mentions it that Hajime really notices the weight of her sleepiness. She moves a bit to sit up so she isn't leaning so much on Kido. Maybe that will wake her up more.]

I brought a lot of sugary tasty things too. They're free reign!

[That might be easier if Kido was going to let her go. But her arm isn't budging.]

If you're tired, you can rest. That's fine with me.

[Hajime blinks at that, glancing to the arm and then back to Kido.]

You got hurt too. You should be resting. Or eating. R and R.

I am resting. What else would I be doing? [She's just sitting there. And Hajime should be too :<]

I donno but I came here to take care of you!

[She uses her free hand to reach over and poke Kido in the cheek]

This is good enough. [She looks away, turning pink again.]

I should've just let you fall asleep... [She's grumbling but she's not actually angry.]

I wasn't falling asleep. I was resting my eyes! It's not my fault you're comfy!

[Hajime giggles, nuzzling her shoulder playfully]

[She POINTEDLY looks away now.] I think that's just how tired you are.

[She settles back down. Hajime has had a her fun]

That was a rough night.

A rough couple nights, probably.

[Kido's just going to be a little quiet, thinking about it.

Couple of nights?

[She blinks at that, glancing to her]

... Did you just get bitten yesterday? [Look Kido's putting it up there as one of the Worst Things to Ever Happen to her.]

Nope. The 4th. At night.

[Sure it's rough being weak and not feeling good, but Hajime is already past what happened. She isn't worried or counting the days.]

I didn't think he would get you Kido-chan. I should have come save you. Sorry Sorry!

[That's just what she meant by rough couple of nights.]

It's not like it's your fault. I don't want you or the boss apologizing to me for it.

[She's the one who shouldn't've gone along with him.]

It's not your fault either! I just wish I was there.

[Heroes are always in the right place at the right time right? She glances to her neck.]

It looks a lot better though!

You would've just gotten hurt again, too. Maybe worse.

... I got lucky. The boss got there in time. [And she's both thankful and sad about that.]

[If Kido was attacked after she was, then Hajime isn't so sure she'd even be able to get to her.]

I'm just glad you're safe now! I was worried about you Kido-chan!

[She smiles warmly at her before looking towards the cieling.]

I do want to find that guy again though.

[Not right now. Not until her NOTE heals. But it shouldn't be hard given her god ability.]

... I met him once before this. He saved me, in the fire.

[So this has been a weird second meeting tbh.]

Because we're best friends. I'll always worry about you if something is up, Kido-chan. Duh!

[How much friendship does she need to shove at Kido before its obvious. Friends worry! She cares about her well being.]

That is strange...maybe he wasn't feeling like himself. I took a picture of him...since I was trying to get pictures of everyone. His eyes and tattoo turned super red. A hungry red!

[She sits up a little straighter, still sticking close to Kido but now that her mind is buzzing, she's waking up a bit more. She thoughtfully taps the blank screen of her phone. She had looked at his picture a few times, trying to figure things out.]

Next time I'll pull my NOTE out faster so he can't grab it. Transform and he won't be able to beat a Gatchaman! If he's still super weird and creepy.

[There's a part of Kido deep inside her chest that thinks about those red eyes.

Like hers. Glowing and awful and a monster. And the possibility of a monster inside of her.

But it's gone in the next second because--]

[That's a different red glow. The red glow was hungry. Kido's eyes were not. Plus her red eyes are pretty! Not a monster! But...neither was he. Hajime can be bias all she wants. Still meeting a Vampire was weird.]

Hm?

[She blinks at her.]
