[How much friendship does she need to shove at Kido before its obvious. Friends worry! She cares about her well being.]

That is strange...maybe he wasn't feeling like himself. I took a picture of him...since I was trying to get pictures of everyone. His eyes and tattoo turned super red. A hungry red!

[She sits up a little straighter, still sticking close to Kido but now that her mind is buzzing, she's waking up a bit more. She thoughtfully taps the blank screen of her phone. She had looked at his picture a few times, trying to figure things out.]

Next time I'll pull my NOTE out faster so he can't grab it. Transform and he won't be able to beat a Gatchaman! If he's still super weird and creepy.

[There's a part of Kido deep inside her chest that thinks about those red eyes.

Like hers. Glowing and awful and a monster. And the possibility of a monster inside of her.

But it's gone in the next second because--]

[That's a different red glow. The red glow was hungry. Kido's eyes were not. Plus her red eyes are pretty! Not a monster! But...neither was he. Hajime can be bias all she wants. Still meeting a Vampire was weird.]

Hm?

[She blinks at her.]

Oh. I was slow is all.

That's not an "is all" kind of thing! You said it was your soul!

[She finally pulls back to take Hajime by the shoulders because this is Serious.]

[She really didn't mean for this to happen. She was trying not to worry Kido. But Kido was the only person she mentioned her NOTE too. Only her and Davesprite know. Davesprite only found out due to the incident. She winches faintly at the grab, but she's more surprised then anything.]

Ki-Kido-chan.. Yeah... I was trying to pull it out to transform and he grabbed it from me.

[But look she's fine! really!]

That isn't okay! [Now she's getting all worked up.] I'll find him myself if I have to!

Kido-chan! I'm right here. Look I'm fine! Seeeee?

[She grabs ahold of her arms, pouting at her. She only then removes her hand to pick her NOTE up from under her phone. She holds it out for her.]

See? It's fine.

[Damaged. But fine. The NOTE has cracks all around it like it had been nearly crushed along with a hole in the cover's center where Zeno's fingers stabbed though. There's a very faint blueish glow to the areas that are damaged, like its very slowly healing itself. But this also why her body feels so tender.]

That's not fine! It's not fine at all. You got hurt? What if he did worse? What if he comes back and does worse!

[Kido is stupid protective of her friends. It was fine when she was the only one hurt but this is going too far.]

[Hajime lifts the NOTE and gently hits her on the head with it]

He didn't and he won't. We're both okay, Kido-chan!

[She scowls and draws back, letting go of Hajime, finally.

Instead, she holds herself awkwardly.]

... You don't know that.

I do! Because I won't let it happen!

[Yep! Willpower and self confidence. She lowers the NOTE and places it back in her lap so she can draw to Kido and pull her into a hug]

[Oh jeeze more hugs.]

... It's not like you let it happen last time.

I was surprised! I wanted a selfie, not to be a buffet! Now I know!

[Yep! That makes it 100% more in her favor!]

Though if he said please. Maybe I would have let him have a little if I knew he was so hungry....

You can't just let vampires bite you, Hajime! [She pulls back to give her a look.[

[Loud, Kido, Loud. She's right next to you, you don't have to yell!]

But if he was a nice vampire.... don't worry, I wont let him! Okay, Okay Kido-chan? Like I said, I'll be way faster if there's a next time! Promise!

[She makes her hand fly over Kido's head before grinning at her.]

It'll be okay!

[She still scowls. She doesn't accept this.] You let yourself be too vulnerable.

[Hajime pouts at her scowl]

You trust everybody and we're not all trustworthy. [She'll make this point as many times as she needs to.]

Everyone deserves a chance, Kido-chan.

[She tilts her head to the side, looking at her as she kicks her feet a bit.]

They don't deserve anything if it means you get hurt.

[Hajime lets out a sigh as she leans back against the couch. They're going in circles. Not fun circles either! She lets out a long whine as she thinks rubs her face with both Hands. Kido-chan. Oh sweet Kido-chan.]

I'll be more careful, okie dokie?

[She peeks out at her. Surely that can be their middle ground, yes?]
